The re-opening of the 1,399-room hotel and casino is welcome news for Atlantic City’s northern end, which has become a bit of a ghost town after Revel and nearby Trump Taj Mahal closed years ago. Tickets can be purchased directly through the venue. They will feature DJ sets from Diplo, Kaskade, Jermaine Dupri, and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. But Hyatt, who announced in April that they entered a franchise agreement to operate the re-branded venue as Ocean Resorts Casino, is hoping to leave all that in the past with a Grand Opening celebration set for June 28.Īs part of the festivities, parties at the facility’s HQ2 Beachclub will be held on June 29 and continue throughout the weekend. The 6.4-million-square-foot property at 500 Boardwalk has been viewed by some as a symbol for the gambling town’s struggles, as the hulking structure cost $2.4 billion to build and survived just two years before closing in 2014.
